After months of biting our tongues and remaining tight lipped, we are overjoyed to finally announce all of the upcoming excitements as Comedy Warriors: Healing Through Humor hits the film festival circuit this fall! For those of you who are local to our destinations, or for anyone that feels like taking a spontaneous mini-break, we are looking forward to seeing some friendly faces in the crowd!
First up, we are heading to Long Island for the Gold Coast International Film Festival, where we will be screening on Thursday, October 24th at 7:30pm at the Great Neck Bow Tie Squire. There will be a Q&A with the filmmakers, and mini-performance by Comedy Warriors Bobby Henline and Joe Kashnow, immediately following the show. For those of you who have seen the film, we don’t need to tell you how ridiculously hilarious these guys are. For those of you who have NOT seen it yet, get ready to hold onto your sides and watch the trailer here!
After wrapping it up in Long Island, we hit the road to Washington DC/Virginia, where we will be screening at the Middleburg Film Festival not once but twice over the weekend! We’ll be at the Sporting Library on Friday, 25th October at 4:15pm and at the Middleburg Community Center on Saturday, October 26th at 7:15pm.
Next on the itinerary is the Naples Film Festival, which takes place in sunny Florida. We are incredibly lucky to, yet again, have two screening times! Both at the Silverspot Cinema, you can catch the flick on Friday, November 8th at 6:30pm and on Sunday, November 10th at 2:00pm, and they are also followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers.
The curtain closes on the fall festival tour in Amsterdam, where we are an official selection for the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam! As our first venture overseas, we are absoultely thrilled to have been invited to take part, especially as Comedy Warriors has been invited to be a part of the brand-new ‘Stand-Up Documentary’ program, which celebrates documentaries that focus on Comedy. The Festival itself runs from November 20th until December 1st, with exact screening times TBA, and in addition, there will be two special evenings tied in with our section that will feature live, stand-up performances.
